PVC is a type of plastic commonly used in the air chambers of inflatable boats. making them ideal for use in inflatable boats.

PVC-covered inflatable boat fabrics are less expensive than Hypalon fabrics, but a big advantage of PVC fabrics over Hypalon fabrics is that the seams can be cold welded quickly and efficiently. Seams on Hypalon or Hypalon boats, on the other hand, must be glued by hand by highly skilled workers using glue pots and brushes.
